Trusting In The Lord

Trust in the Lord with all your heart and lean not on your own understanding; in all your ways submit to him, and he will make your paths straight. (Proverbs 3:5, 6 NIV)

1 – Trusting in the Lord means we will not have all the answers.

We won't always understand everything.

“For My thoughts are not your thoughts, Nor are your ways My ways,” says the Lord. “For as the heavens are higher than the earth, So are My ways higher than your ways, And My thoughts than your thoughts. (Isaiah 55:8, 9 NKJV)

2 – Trusting in the Lord means we are not moved by our circumstances.

No matter what it looks like we can have peace of mind knowing that is God is in control, and His is, then everything will work out for our good.

Be anxious for nothing, but in everything by prayer and supplication, with thanksgiving, let your requests be made known to God; and the peace of God, which surpasses all understanding, will guard your hearts and minds through Christ Jesus. (Philippians 4:6, 7 NKJV)

3 – Trusting in the Lord means we will wait on His timing.

Many times we want to rush what God wants to do. We just need to trust that God knows when the perfect time is.We can have the assurance that as we trust Him everything will be alright. His promises will come to pass.

So shall My word be that goes forth from My mouth; It shall not return to Me void, But it shall accomplish what I please, And it shall prosper in the thing for which I sent it. (Isaiah 55:11 NKJV)
