Then David said to the Philistine, “You come to me with a sword, with a spear, and with a javelin. But I come to you in the name of the Lord of hosts, the God of the armies of Israel, whom you have defied. (I Samuel 17:45 NKJV)
It doesn’t matter what comes against us because we have God on our side. This is the attitude we should have. When the enemy comes against us with his strategies we can come against him in the name of The Lord. As we say “in the name of The Lord,” it is not just a tag at the end of a prayer but it means we are standing in faith in the finished work that Jesus did through His death and resurrection. We are declaring that same power in our circumstances. Like David, we will see the manifestation of the victory in our lives.
Stand firm today “in the name of The Lord.”
