“When the Israelites were in Egypt and cried out to the Lord, he sent Moses and Aaron to rescue them from Egypt and to bring them into this land. But the people soon forgot about the Lord their God, so he handed them over to Sisera, the commander of Hazor’s army, and also to the Philistines and to the king of Moab, who fought against them. (1 Samuel 12:8, 9 NLT)
God blesses us but some times we forget all that God has done for us. Over time we forget God. We get caught up in the things of this life. We get busy and put our focus on other things.
God has done too many good things in our lives to just forget. I believe that is why the psalmist says in Psalm 100 to “Enter into His gates with thanksgiving …” Remember what God has done in our lives. We give thanks to God for what He has done, what He is doing and what He is going to do. We remind ourselves of God’s provision in our lives so we don’t forget Him in our lives.
Never forget the God that we serve. We should worship Him every day. He is worthy of all the glory and the honor!
